Registration: Eligible Professionals

Registration at the national level for the Medicaid EHR Incentive Program opened in January 2011. Iowa begin accepting attestations and making payments in January, 2011.

Eligible professionals are required to register on the national level through the CMS website and at the state level in Iowa.

STEP ONE: 

Register on the CMS Medicare and Medicaid EHR Incentive Program Registration and Attestation System.

Eligible Providers will need to complete the following in order to complete registration:

STEP TWO:

Create an account on the Iowa Medicaid Enterprise (IME) Provider Incentive Payment Program (PIPP) web portal if you don't have an account set up already. Click here for Link Start New EHR Payment Application in PIPP for initial review by Iowa Medicaid EHR Incentive Program Specialist.

STEP THREE:

Start attestation process after a 24 hour period review from IME staff. Answer all EHR attestation questionnaires and upload any documentation such as:

  • Proof of Patient Volume
  • Proof of Certified EHR
